Hello, this is JH!
I thought spring had finally arrived, but lately the weather has been so hot that I’ve been spending my days wondering if we’re just skipping spring again this year and going straight to summer.
Actually, I was back in Seoul on a business trip after just a month. I came briefly because there was urgent work to take care of, so I wasn't able to greet everyone properly. I am returning to the United States today.
If there is one title that is mentioned the most in the gaming industry these days, it would undoubtedly be 'Crimson Desert'.
There was a lot of anticipation even before the release, and perhaps because there is so much talk about the difficulties facing the gaming industry these days, the industry professionals I met this time unanimously wished for the success of 'Crimson Desert'.
As those of you who know are likely already aware, in addition to influencer marketing, GC has created a video/streaming platform called ContentFlux and is now preparing to officially introduce it to the world.
Since it was a good opportunity, I took a look at how 'Crimson Desert' is being consumed on YouTube and streaming platforms worldwide.
I checked ContentFlux's real-time monthly Top 100 rankings, and Crimson Desert made its debut at an impressive 16th place. Considering the launch date was March 19th (PST), it is truly impressive that a title that is practically less than a month old is in this ranking

If you know which games fill the top 15 spots, you will realize just how impressive this 16th place is. Titles like GTA, Roblox, and PUBG have maintained an overwhelming global fanbase for years. Right below 'Crimson Desert' at 17th place is the famous LoL, and at 18th place is Arc Raiders.
If you check the weekly rankings for the 4th week of March (3/23~3/29), the numbers become clearer.
It ranked 8th overall on YouTube with 31 million views, and an impressive 4th on the global streaming platform Twitch with over 1 million concurrent viewers.
The situation is no different domestically. Ranking 1st in CHZZK and 8th in SOOP, it means entering the top ranks simultaneously both at home and abroad.
It is rare to see a game simultaneously enter the top ranks both globally and domestically. In particular, reaching 4th place on Twitch signifies that streamers around the world are voluntarily playing this game.

Now, let's take a look at 'Crimson Desert' using ContentFlux's core features: game-specific video status and detailed analysis.
If you search for 'Crimson Desert' on ContentFlux, you can view global video and streaming data from before the launch to the present at a glance. You can identify how many 'Crimson Desert' related videos have been distributed on YouTube and Twitch, as well as domestic platforms like CHZZK and SOOP, the levels of views and concurrent viewers, and even how they are being posted and streamed in which countries and language regions.

And you might be surprised here.
ContentFlux features a function that estimates how much a specific game spent on Paid Influencer Campaigns during a specific period , based on the data and algorithms GC has accumulated over 9 years of directly executing influencer marketing.
By utilizing ContentFlux’s various data analysis capabilities, you can monitor the global video posting and streaming status of your titles in real time to establish directions for strategy, operations, marketing, and updates, as well as refer to past and present influencer marketing trends for titles in similar or competing genres.
ContentFlux also has AI video analysis features.
I analyzed the latest 'Crimson Desert' post by theRadBrad, who has 13 million subscribers (a veteran in this field famous for the aesthetics of unedited videos), as an example. This video, which has already surpassed 1 million views, is over two hours long. It is the kind of video where it feels like a waste of time to watch it directly, but you feel like you might miss something if you don't.
With ContentFlux analysis, you can identify the key content of utterances within minutes.

But actually, it seems that people in the gaming industry are often more curious about what users wrote in the comments than what the influencer said.
ContentFlux classifies comments and chat reactions as positive, neutral, or negative, and displays a summary of the key points.
For this video, over 2,000 people left comments out of more than 1 million viewers, and nearly half of them were positive. You can get a sense of the atmosphere just by looking at the numbers, right?

As such, ContentFlux takes pride in being a truly meaningful platform for understanding market trends and dynamics by providing and analyzing the status and data of game videos on YouTube and various streaming platforms.
ContentFlux offers trial accounts. Trying it out yourself is probably better than a hundred explanations. If you are interested, please take a moment to check it out!

Gamescom Latam
As we mentioned in the last newsletter, I will be attending Gamescom Latam, held in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 29 to May 3, as a speaker for the Solo Session.
