Hi again, this is JH greeting you for the month of November.

What are you thankful for?

This week is Thanksgiving Week in the US. Like Chuseok in Korea, it's the biggest holiday of the year, with families gathering together. It's said that approximately 80 million Americans travel more than 50 miles (approximately 80 km) during this period. Considering the US population of approximately 340 million, that's roughly 23% of those traveling to see family. (In fact, many North American partners have announced that they will be taking vacations for the holiday.) Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, and the following Friday is Black Friday, the global sales event. This is literally the start of the US shopping season.

One of America's Thanksgiving traditions is that each year the White House selects a turkey and "pardons" it. Essentially, it's a free pass to Thanksgiving dinner. The pardoned turkey is exempt from slaughter and spends the rest of its life in a designated facility. This year's pardoned turkey is named Gobble. Again, the question you’ll hear most this week is “What are you thankful for?” This Thanksgiving has definitely been a week of gratitude for Gobble, hasn't it?

Global News

Continuing our Thanksgiving story, another interesting statistic and photo was released this week.

This is the current state of social media usage in the United States in 2025. It provides a snapshot of how much Americans actually use each platform. YouTube remains dominant across all generations, with 84% and Facebook at 71%. Instagram at 50% and TikTok at 37% show steady growth, particularly among younger users. Reddit also stands out, recording 26%, reaffirming its surprisingly high utilization as a community-based platform.

We've been seeing a lot of people looking to GC for Reddit ad execution recently. We can offer campaigns (media plans) tailored to your game, so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

There was one more piece of good news: the interview I conducted with Kyunghyang Games was published in an article.

Personally, this was the most "thankful" event of the week

Sharing a little bit of the American Thanksgiving spirit, I hope you all have a week full of things to be thankful for.
