Hi all, this is Sol from GC!

It's September, and the stifling heat that seemed like it would never go away is slowly subsiding.


As I mentioned in my last newsletter, GC also attended Gamescom 2024

Until now, I had stayed in hotels without air conditioning, so this time, I focused on finding hotels with air conditioning from the beginning of the year. Fortunately or unfortunately, Cologne was cooler this year than last year, so I had less reason to use the air conditioning.

News about the beta launch of ContentFlux , a service platform prepared by GC.




ContentFlux, which is being developed in-house by GC,

We collect and analyze live broadcast/video data mainly from YouTube and Twitch.

This is a platform designed to help you check out third-party advertising estimates and hiring influencers, and analyze what influencers are saying about your game and other companies' games by AI-powered analysis of streaming broadcasts and videos.


We are pleased to present to you for the first time the beta service will open on September 6, 2024. 


During the beta service period, we will provide a demo account for testing ContentFlux to subscribers who subscribe to our newsletter.

1 second dwell = 1 view, a shorter Instagram performance metric


Last August, Meta announced a revamp of Instagram's metrics.

The content was about getting rid of past metrics such as Impressions and Plays, and replacing the evaluation criteria for all content types (Reels, Photos, Carousels, Stories, etc.) with 'Views'. In the past, Views were an indicator of staying or playing for more than 3 seconds, but from now on, even watching for 1 second will count as a view.


If you're wondering how views are counted on social media platforms, check out the table below. While most platforms count views after about 1-3 seconds, YouTube counts views after 30 seconds . This makes me realize how true YouTube views are!

Halloween in October is the best time to promote any business.

Last year, the National Retail Federation (NRF) predicted that Halloween-related spending in 2023 would reach a record high of $12.2 billion, and it is expected that spending will be similar this year.

As the importance of the Taiwanese and Southeast Asian markets grows, GCs are increasingly executing campaigns in these markets.

We'd like to share with you a recent case study we conducted in Taiwan, where we leveraged costume and makeup TikTokers to raise awareness of games and characters, and a case study we conducted with influencers in Vietnam who can create TikTok+YouTube Shorts.




Guide Content Series

We often receive requests for influencers to create guide content for our games.

At the request of our advertiser, we recently promoted a beginner's guide series. While there aren't many channels capable of producing full-length YouTube videos and detailed guides, the advertiser's meticulous guidance and support, coupled with the influencer's passion, resulted in a fantastic three-part series. In fact, user feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and complimentary, so we're sharing it with you.

Please remember that the most important thing in guide content is a well-prepared influencer production guide and account support!




Gamescom 2024

I heard that this year's Gamescom will see the largest participation of the domestic gaming industry ever. In fact, in B2C, the number of large booths of Korean developers, which increased compared to last year, stood out.


The photo below is of the B2C site I visited on the first day (August 21st), when there were the fewest people. On the actual B2C opening day, there were far more people waiting to play the game. Because of the huge crowd, I had no choice but to abandon the demonstration, just loitering around the booth. Still, seeing so many international gamers willingly waiting to play Korean games made me feel proud for no reason.


We look forward to seeing many domestic publishers and developers participate in Gamescom next year!
